Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord will be praised.
Proverbs 31:30, HCSB
God is faithful. Anyone who trusts in Christ will be praised by God at the end. This is true for the Church and for every child, man, and woman within Her.
We have a few people who can cover the music in an emergency, and we have easy access to a couple other people who can usually step in. It is nice, especially with our music pastor out of town the next two Sundays. It usually makes for a nice change of pace. One time, all our usual people were traveling together! The man who filled in played songs we normally avoid, and it could be felt. I am also thankful for a gracious congregation who was kind, but that person was removed from any list of possible cover. Let us always be grateful for others who can help lead our worship services.

For this Sunday here’s what you can do: Thank the Lord if your church has a back-up Worship leader.
But when you give to the poor, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing
Matthew 6:3, HCSB
God became a man to make the spiritually poor His friends, so we also should treat all sorts of poor as friends with the love of Christ and not for personal glory.
The Lord does not delay His promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9, HCSB
We go through this world awaiting the return of Christ, knowing Christ has called us friends and is waiting for more to hear His call. Let us spread the good news of Jesus’ call and forgiveness.
Let us pray forinimal casualties, evil to be stopped (or at least slowed down!), and for opportunities for the gospel to be shared. May there be wisdom from leaders and for the Church at this time.
Daniel
This Sunday at Church: Pray for Iran in light of Operation Epic Fury.
This was something discussed in our recent Congregational Meeting, how we can encourage members to be more attentive and thus welcoming to newer people and visitors. I know I often get stuck in conversations and cannot always meet new people right away, so it is helpful to have many people be ready to be welcoming to all including those who come back again!
Daniel
This Sunday at Church I want to encourage you to do the following: Talk to any returning visitors.
Show family affection to one another with brotherly love. Outdo one another in showing honor.
Romans 12:10, HCSB
Just as Christ showed God’s love by becoming one of us and dying for us, we should do everything we can to love each other, especially in God’s Church, and do what’s best to all people.
I could step in if necessary, but we have a couple young men who are being trained in case something happens to our main A/V guy. It is a mildly stressful thing to consider, so it is a blessing to have a few people who are ready and able to step in.
Daniel
For this Sunday here’s what you can do: Thank the Lord if your church has a back-up Audio-Visual Guy.
Therefore, since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us
Hebrews 12:1, HCSB
We are called in Christ to help each other be more like Christ, so we look to the historic Church and the Church today to guide us in getting past sin amd find encouragement.
Do we truly love the Lord our God with all our hearts, souls, minds, and strengths? Maybe I can help with the mind part, at least! This is Daniel M. Klem, apparent poet, reluctant yet passionate Disciple (Peter?), and foolish man attempting to understand theology!
