VerseD: 2 Corinthians 4:18

as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:18, ESV

It is clear that things in this life (and universe) don’t last forever, but we have a hope for eternity because of Christ’s death and resurrection.

VerseD: Isaiah 55:6-7

“Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord , that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.”
Isaiah 55:6‭-‬7, ESV

God has not abandoned us. We abandoned Him. We have until Christ’s return to repent of our sinfulness and put our faith in the One who has continued to seek after us.

VerseD: Psalm 55:22

Cast your burden on the Lord , and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord , plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.”

VerseD: Ephesians 6:18

praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints
Ephesians 6:18, ESV

In the darkness of this world, with all its problems and disbelief in God, we must rely on God the Holy Spirit to help us, especially as we lift each other up in prayer to the Father.

VerseD: Galatians 6:9

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
Galatians 6:9, ESV

We live in a world that promotes selfishness and retribution, denying the truth of God’s Word. May we live as Christ: sacrificially loving others and doing what God has called us to do.

VerseD: Matthew 5:9

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.”
Matthew 5:9, ESV

With enough wrong with this world, how much better is it to be like our Lord and spread the peace of God, as much as it depends on us with the help of the Holy Spirit.

VerseD: 1 Peter 5:10

And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
1 Peter 5:10, ESV

There are many struggles and attacks we face in this life, but our ever-present Lord holds us and lifts us up, ultimately to eternal life.
