Satan tried to divide and sow hatred, but God brings peace and love to His people. May we abide in Christ and bring His peace into all our relationships.
I had the privilege of speaking at a youth retreat for New Life Community Church Peoria (AZ).
Below are the videos of the four teaching sessions, including Session 3 led by my friend and their youth pastor Noah, and a sample booklet to go alongside the lessons. (We did not use a booklet on this trip, but it did help guide the discussions overall.)
The theme was “Psalm 1: The Mountaintop Experience,” looking at how to live a blessed life of growing in the presence of God rather than focusing on experiences.

Satan tries to divide, most importantly by getting us to not trust or even think about God. But the Holy Spirit helps draw us near and have more faith and confodence in Christ.
Teach a youth about the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.

Satan seeks to divide and sow hatred and disobedience, but God demonstrates that obedience and discipline are good and promote goodness and peace.
Therefore, as we have opportunity, we must work for the good of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith.

Satan seeks to divide and stir up hatred, but Christ has come to heal, draw together, and bind in love. May we live out the love of Christ and grow in unity within the Church.

Hello, wonderful people!
Beginning in a few hours is a youth camp in beautiful Prescott, AZ. I was asked to be the main speaker, and I wrote the outline for the teachings.
Our focus is Psalm 1 and The Mountaintop Experience. Please pray we speak well sharing God’s truth, that these teenagers encounter God in a meaningful and impact full way, and that it is an overall safe and fun weekend. (Of course, God’s will in all things above all!)
Thankfully, my wife gets to join me, so it is also a bit of a retreat for us!

We obey the Word of God, and this includes trusting Him with all of our cares and worries, and we will see His comforting strength and power move in our lives as we seek Him.
