Sermon: The Preeminent Word – Colossians 1:1-8

I preached again!

We are on to Paul’s Letter to the Colossians in our series through the Pauline Prison Epistles. I had some concerns going into this message. The typical pastoral doubts that afflict most of us preachers are those concerns that sprang up. According to the congregation, there was nothing to be concerned about. May you enjoy the message, too. It is a brief overview of the book as well as the other Prison Epistles before a quick run-through of the first eight verses with application.

As usual, my PowerPoint is attached below for your personal perusal.

Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy

Exodus 20:8, HCSB

We keep God’s Word, and means remembering time for rest, and ultimately that we find rest in Christ alone. Let us help bring others into His rest.
