VerseD: Matthew 5:3

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs.”

The message has not changed, knowing that we are unable to do anything good enough to earn eternal life, but God in His goodness and grace has made a way for us through His Son, Jesus.

VerseD: 2 Corinthians 12:9

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore, I will most gladly boast all the more about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may reside in me.

God fights for us, and He calls us to join in the fight against sin, empowering us by His strength, even in and using our weaknesses.

VerseD: 2 Corinthians 12:10

For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

2 Corinthians 12:10, ESV

Christ moves in us no matter the circumstances, using our weaknesses and strengths for His glory and for the Chirch. He also helps us through the Church, other broken and weak people to help each other.

“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.”

When we can admit that we can’t get through this life in our own power, that only in Christ can we fully thrive, then we find that we can be co-heirs with Him, living eternally on a restored Earth in glorified bodies like His, worshipping and truly living.

For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

God seems closest to us when we are at our lowest, usually because we are finally willing to listen and notice He has been showing Himself to us the whole time.

We often think asking God for help or seeking Him is weakness, but that is when we fail to remember/realize we are inherently weak.

When we are reminded of the promises of God and His faithfulness, we find His strength and faithfulness in our own lives.

The Creator of the Universe works in us, revealing His power in changing and using us for His glory.

Our culture promotes personal strength, yet our Lord’s grace is most evident in our weakness.
When our strength comes from God, it can change the world. One heart at a time.

Live a weak life.
God’s grace and strength move through us when we are humble and admit our need for Him.

Do not try to do it all. Do not worry about your weaknesses and faults. Do not believe God will heal everything in this life.

God likes shaming the “wisdom” of this world for His glory through our failings. He likes showing His power through us.
