VerseD: Psalm 28:7

The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.

We often act like we can control our lives, doing what we can to make sense of the world.

Only with God are we strong enough for this life and to make it to the next. May we trust in Him and praise Him with all we are.

VerseD: Psalm 27:14

Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!

We walk according God’s will, seeking His glory. Life might not go the way we expect, but we know God is in control and holds us in His hands.

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe.

Jesus was first lifted up to make us righteous. The second time He was lifted up, it was as our King and Defender.

Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!

Our God knows us, inside and out, and is the One who is mighty to save and lead us in the way everlasting.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

God commands us to be courageous and strong!

Yet, by His Holy Spirit, He helps us. Trust Him.

The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble;  he knows those who take refuge in him.

Nothing can separate us from the love of God, and He enjoys when we seek Him.

We trust in the only name that can save us from our sins and shame, that will finally one day destroy evil and pain: Jesus.

When the troubles and temptations of this world seem great, we know that our God is greater and is helping and defending us.

Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.
James 1:12, ESV

Our world adores and God expects His people remain strong in difficulties. Show the world God’s glory by holding to His promises, no matter how difficult the circumstances, and see Him face to face.

VerseD: 2 Corinthians 12:9

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2 Corinthians 12:9, ESV

Our culture promotes personal strength, yet our Lord’s grace is most evident in our weakness.
When our strength comes from God, it can change the world. One heart at a time.
