So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.

2 Corinthians 4:16, ESV

Though we often think we can handle life on our own, that often leads to frustration and pain. Yet the Holy Spirit can renew us and for us in all truth and power.

Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.

VerseD: 1 Thessalonians 5:17

pray without ceasing

Philippians 2:13, ESV

We naturally want to rebel against God, but His Holy Spirit works in us to transform us into Christ’s likeness to do His will. H takes great pleasure in seeing us obey, not merely because He has moved our will to His but because we want to out of love as we see the good changes happening within.

We like to know we’re right, but even if we are right there is a right and wrong way to express truth.

We must rely on the Holy Spirit to guide us in all truth, to study the truth of God’s Word, and to share the truth with grace, compassion, gentleness, and respect to the glory of God.

“And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.”

Matthew 6:7‭-‬8, ESV

God knows what we need, so we do not need to try to please Him with many words or flowery speech. He lives in us by the Holy Spirit, so He helps us to ask.
