Our sin has darkened the light of God in this world, but He stepped into this world to overcome and wash away our sin and darkness.
He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
Colossians 1:13-14, ESV
We are born with darkened understanding and must turn to God who can truly enlighten us and change our thinking. This starts by acknowledging our sin against God and receiving Hos forgiveness in Christ.
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

We like to think we can do things on our own, including earning forgiveness.
We must regularly confess our sins – to each other that we might lift each other up, and to God that His forgiveness may flow in us.

Do we recognize Jesus? Can we see Him working?
May we be able to recognize Christ working on this fallen world and show Him to those in it.

But He relents in His love us. Likewise, we should show mercy to those who mistreat, abuse, and are mean to us.

We have been tasked with calling out sin by the authority of Christ. We bring each other closer to Christ and remind each other of the hope we have in His coming.
