VerseD: John 6:35

Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,” said Jesus. He satisfies us spiritually foremost, yet He meets all our needs.

Our sovereign God manages the universe. He can make sure we have everything we need. Trust Him, especially for the salvation of your soul.

Our perceived needs are not necessarily our actual needs, but God knows all our needs. People can see our trust in God’s faithfulness even when it seems we do not have worldly desires, and they will want to know about the peace and faith we have from God.

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

God wants to provide for us, and He cares for each of us and provides for our needs. Most importantly, He offers us salvation when we seek Him.

VerseD: Romans 8:26

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.

Romans 8:26, ESV

It’s okay to not know what to pray for or how to pray, especially when we have to deal with the problems of this world. Our Lord knows our needs and and helps us in all things.

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

Doing what we want is not taking others’ needs into consideration. Thinking of others’ needs first shows the love God has given us for others.

Give us this day our daily bread,

God is our source of all that we need. He cares for us and provides for us, most importantly through the Bread of Life, Jesus.
Seek Him first, and all our deepest needs are met.

VerseD: Matthew 6:25

“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?”
Matthew 6:25, ESV

God wants to take care of us. Not like prosperity preachers teach, but in meeting our daily needs. We need less than we realize, and God knows best what we need.
Seek Him.

This is not promising you will have all you ask for or think you need.

Remember, God’s primary aim is to glorify His name, and He will meet those needs that help us bring Him glory through sharing the Gospel.

(But he does like giving us good gifts, too!)

Jesus supplies all of our needs, though suffering may not cease until His return. Until then, our spiritual hunger and thirst are met. Then, all hunger and thirst shall be quenched.
