VerseD: 2 Timothy 1:7

for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

We should not shrink back from sharing God’s truth with a rebellious, fallen world. We have the power to obey Christ’s commands and love by the Holy Spirit.

VerseD: Jeremiah 31:3

the Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore, I have continued to extend faithful love to you.
Jeremiah 31:3, CSB

Though we all stray from God, He calls out in love to come home. Today, He uses the Church, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to call to this fallen world.

Be His voice.

VerseD: Ephesians 5:1-2

Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
Ephesians 5:1‭-‬2, ESV

Give yourself completely over to God for His will.

Just as the Son lived among us and gave Himself for our good, we likewise should go into our world to share the Gospel in love.

VerseD: Acts 1:8

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Acts 1:8, ESV

We are given the Holy Spirit to empower is in Christ to share the Gospel throughout the world, not get everything we want.

VerseD: John 14:6

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
John 14:6, ESV

Faith in Jesus is the only way to get to heaven.

Believing in His death and resurrection is the only way to inherit eternal life.

Knowing and sharing this truth is the only way for a Christian to live.

VerseD: Galatians 2:20

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Have you been crucified with Christ? Is your life all about the One who loved you and gave His life for you?

As a Christian, we are called to show and share that love and sacrifice with this world. (Not just pastors!)

I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
John 10:11, ESV

Jesus offered Himself to rescue us from condemnation for sin.

Likewise, we should be willing to lay down our lives to share the Gospel, love on others, and bring many to faith in Christ.
