Only God makes us pure, good, and holy through Christ, the one who helps us and ushers us into His presence.

The cost of following Jesus is admitting we need help this world cannot offer and to love in ways we do not understand. We need to get over ourselves and have Christ in us to make us pure and good.
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
Philippians 4:8, ESV
God is good, and He made us to enjoy His goodness.
Find His goodness in every moment, every circumstance, every thing, and every person. Intentionally and for His glory, knowing the ultimate good was His saving work on the cross for our redemption.

A pure heart loves God and shows it by loving people.
And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ

Our love for God should grow, leading to a love for His unadulterated Word and for people to know and live according to that love and Word.
Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.

Religion is not inherently bad.
Neglecting loving our neighbors, especially the least of these, is.
One simple rule in two parts: Love God by loving others.

When we believe in Jesus Christ and His atoning work of His crucifixion, death, and resurrection, we are given His purity.
Believe in Jesus, and we will see God face to face one Glorious Day.

Notice there is nothing that says “Christian” in this list. It is okay to appreciate other things, as well.
We only need focus on the good and positive and honor Christ in our thoughts.
For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
2 Corinthians 5:21, ESV
We are utterly sinful.
Christ is completely pure.
He took on our disgusting, separating sin on the cross, so that, when the Father looks at us who believe this, He sees the purity of the Son.
