Prayer for Youth Camp

Greetings in the Lord!

Today (Sunday, May 26), our congregation is going to a local lake for baptisms! While there, our youth group is hosting a Taco Bar fundraiser to help cover camp costs.

This week, Tuesday-Friday, we are going on a camp out by a river. Our focus this week is “A Life of Worship,” looking at how teens can worship in everyday life.

Please join me in praying for a safe, empowering week of camping and seeking God (especially seeing as I wrote the curriculum!)

May the Holy Spirit move in their (our) lives in mighty ways, we have fun, and draw closer to God and each other.

Thanks in advance!

Daniel and The Youth Next Door

VerseD: Matthew 7:8

For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.

Matthew 7:8, ESV‬

Our God is faithful and has called us to faithfulness. All we need do is ask Him, seeking His will and faithfulness in our loves.

VerseD: 1 Peter 5:7

casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

1 Peter 5:7, ESV‬

Our God is omnipotent and omniscient, knowing everything we go through and how to either help us or comfort us. Give all your worries and problems to Him. He can handle what we cannot.

VerseD: Colossians 4:2

Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.

Colossians 4:2, ESV‬

When we seek God, we gain wisdom for understanding ourselves and our world. The best way to start is through prayer, thanking Him for all He does and asking for His help in all situations.

VerseD: Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Proverbs 3:5-6, ESV‬

Prayer changes us, and especially it helps us to think like God and trust in His ways.

VerseD: Philippians 4:7

And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:7, NASB1995‬

Prayer changes us to think about God and His ways, and as we understand more of these, we find the peace of faith and His faithfulness.

VerseD: Mark 9:23

And Jesus said to him, “‘If You can?’ All things are possible to him who believes.”

Mark 9:23, NASB1995‬

Prayer changes us to have more faith in what God can do. May we have the faith and seek more faith to believe God’s promises and power.

VerseD: Colossians 3:2

Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.

Colossians 3:2, NASB1995‬

Prayer helps us focus our thoughts and will on God and His Kingdom, but it also changes our hearts to seek the lost in this world.

VerseD: 1 Thessalonians 5:18

give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 5:18, NIV‬

Prayer changes us, and gratitude especially makes us more hopeful and thankful in general. We seek God to grow in His joy and Will.

VerseD: 1 Thessalonians 5:17

pray continually

1 Thessalonians 5:17, NIV‬

Prayer changes us and draws into God’s will. We seek God and are conformed to His will.
