VerseD: 1 John 5:14

And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.
1 John 5:14, ESV

Some teach that God says we can ask for literally anything, even declare and decree we have it. Yet God’s Word is clear: anything according to God’s will.
Seek first His Kingdom …

VerseD: Luke 16:10

“One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.”
Luke 16:10, ESV

The Faithful One can empower us to be faithful stewards and servants. On our own, we are more likely to be dishonest and unfaithful.

VerseD: Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Hebrews 4:12, ESV

Scripture – the words given by the Holy Spirit – and Jesus. Both are the Word of God, capable of cutting through our lies, deceptions, imaginings, and masks to reveal our sinful desires yet also offer hope for forgiveness and eternal life.

VerseD: Acts 4:12

“And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
Acts 4:12, ESV

Jesus is the only answer for how to get to God. No other path, work, or deity can do it.
Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

VerseD: Matthew 28:19

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit
Matthew 28:19, ESV

God changes us, but how will He change others if we do not obey His command to make disciples?
Good use us to bring change to the world.

VerseD: Galatians 2:20

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20, ESV

We war against our sinful desires, but our lives have been redeemed by Christ who dwells within us and fights for by His Holy Spirit.

VerseD: Isaiah 55:1-2

“Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food.”
Isaiah 55:1‭-‬2, ESV

We should drink mightily of the water of the Holy Spirit, the fountain of Life,  and eat abundantly of the Word, reading Scripture and partaking in the Son of God, all to the glory of the Father.

VerseD: Psalm 55:22

Cast your burden on the Lord , and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.
Psalm 55:22, ESV

God does not promise no trouble in life. “Cast your burden” implies problems. Rather, He uses our difficulties and our reliance on Him to shine His light to this hurting world.

VerseD: Matthew 5:14

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.”
Matthew 5:14, ESV

By the Holy Spirit, Christ – the Light of Man – lives and moves through us. We should be showing that light to our dark world through our love and good works that point all to glorify God.

VerseD: 1 John 3:18

Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.
1 John 3:18, ESV

Too many people say one thing yet do another or even the opposite. May we live out the Gospel of peace and hope as we share it with this twisted world.
