Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Isaiah 7:14, ESV

God came to us in a most unexpected way: as a human baby. But the man He grew into brought us hope and salvation from God’s wrath through His death and resurrection!

VerseD: Matthew 5:16

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

We let Christ move in us by the Holy Spirit to bring hope and healing to this world, all to the glory of the Father.
Our love and sacrifices show them the Way.

The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone.

Yet, God came to us in the person of Jesus Christ, our source of cleansing and forgiveness, the Light of the world who reveals the Father, to those who believe.

“You also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”

Since our Lord is risen, we hope in His return.

For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

Our Old Testament pointed toward Christ – it shows how we should live, that we utterly fail to live up to God’s standard, and that He made a way for us to be pure through the cross.

VerseD: Mark 1:2-4

As it is written in Isaiah the prophet, “Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way, the voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight,’” John appeared, baptizing in the wilderness and proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
Mark 1:2‭-‬4, ESV

Just as John got people ready for the ministry of Jesus by teaching repentance, we should be getting people ready for the return of Christ.

We are adopted children of God by faith in Christ. We are siblings by Blood.

VerseD: 1 John 4:19

We love because he first loved us.
1 John 4:19, ESV

This world mistreats us and at best does not care if we die.
This world killed our Lord, but He came willingly to die because He loves us.
Now, we show love to this world.
