We worship Christ for saving us, and now, because of His sacrifice and resurrection, may we tell others this truth and draw near to God’s throne together.

We must seek God for who He is, not what we expect or want Him to be, and He will draw near to us in wondrous ways.

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

The Father sent His Son to die for us, but He raised Him and glorified Him. Now, the Holy Spirit draws us to Christ and to glorify Him in word and deed.

Our hearts are full of lies and easily deceived, so let us continually draw near to God through Bible reading, prayer, and meeting with His Church.

It is not easy admitting we’re wrong or in need of correction, but God sends us through difficult times painful circumstances not to punish us so much as to purge disobedience and draw us closer to Himself.

We don’t understand what God can and will do in and through us to make us and the world better. Trust the Holy Spirit to draw us to God and bless our world for Christ.

We want God to do things our way, but He draws nearest to those who seek His will. We seek His will more as we move with the Holy Spirit who conforms our will to God’s, drawing us ever nearer to God.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

James 4:7, ESV

God is our defender, having crushed Satan’s head through the cross.

Let us draw closely to God, submitting to His sovereignty and might, and He will drive the Devil away.

VerseD: John 8:12

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

John 8:12, ESV

It is the light of Christ, and should not be our deeds that repel and is not our good works that necessarily draw others to God.

Our goodness and light comes from Christ, and it will either repel or draw others in.

God wants us to draw near, not merely waiting for us but even coming for us, but in His truth.

Don’t chase a fake god. Pursue the Gut of the Bible.
