VerseD: 1 Corinthians 12:25-27

that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together. Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.

Our love of Christ should compel us to love His Body, the Church. We should live sacrificially loving each other and pushing each other closer to Christ.

VerseD: John 14:1

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.”

John 14:1, ESV

God is in control. He sent His Son at just the right time in history to save us, and Jesus is coming back.

Believe and hope.

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.

We do good things for other people to the glory of God. And He helps us in the power of His might.

We are not alone. God is with us.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.

Christ’s return is imminent. He calls to each of us to change, to live a life of love, sacrifice, and grace in His Name.

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Our love for God is made known in how we do what needs to be done, and even menial tasks we do giving joyful glory to God.

I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

Because He loves us, Jesus gave up His life to save us from our sins (and then arose again!)

We, too, should make sacrifices to share that news with the world.

Because He loves us.

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

Christ was not sent to condemn. The Law and our own conscience already do that. Christ came to reach out to and save those who stand condemned. (All of us.)

Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.”

Jesus was sent to save the world. He sends us to tell the world of His saving work on the cross.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.

Are you better at encouraging or discouraging, building up or tearing down with your words?

Do you share biblical, spiritual truths or focus on worldly and even sinful talk?

Do you spread love or hate?

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?

Parents often say each of their children is their favorite and that each is always loved no matter what.

How much more is this true of the One who died to take away our sins?
