VerseD: 1 Peter 3:12

“For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”

1 Peter 3:12, ESV

It is not the prayer but the heart of the person that God is focused on. Be right with God through Jesus Christ to know your prayers are heard.

VerseD: Colossians 4:2

Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.

Colossians 4:2, ESV

Our God can do anything,  so we should be asking Him for impossible things to happen. And simple things.

And being thankful for all He has done, especially for our salvation.

VerseD: Matthew 6:6

But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
Matthew 6:6, ESV

God rewards faithfulness. He may not answer all of prayers with “Yes”, but He will make us more like Jesus and take care of all our needs.

Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
1 John 4:4, ESV

By prayer and being in the Word, we know we are not overcome by this world and it’s lies and it’s master. Christ in us is stronger!

pray without ceasing

We are able to live the Christian life and more fully share the gospel when we are regularly and frequently in communication with our Lord and Savior.

VerseD: 1 John 5:14

And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.

Some teach that God says we can ask for literally anything, even declare and decree we have it. Yet God’s Word is clear: anything according to God’s will.
Seek first His Kingdom …

VerseD: Ephesians 6:18

praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints

In the darkness of this world, with all its problems and disbelief in God, we must rely on God the Holy Spirit to help us, especially as we lift each other up in prayer to the Father.

VerseD: Matthew 6:11

Give us this day our daily bread,
Matthew 6:11, ESV

God is our source of all that we need. He cares for us and provides for us, most importantly through the Bread of Life, Jesus.
Seek Him first, and all our deepest needs are met.

VerseD: Matthew 5:44

But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you
Matthew 5:44, ESV

Our hope in Christ pushes us to emulate Him, and, just like He prayed for and loved those persecuting Him, we win over others by praying for and showing love to those who despise us.

VerseD: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
1 Thessalonians 5:16‭-‬18, ESV

We show the hope that we have by continually praising God in thankfulness, for we know He is reforming us into Christ’s image to prepare us for His return.
