VerseD: Jeremiah 29:13

You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

Jeremiah 29:13, ESV

We can find the truth of God by searching His Word – the Bible – honestly, and we investigate the claims of Christ with an open mind and heart.

VerseD: 2 Timothy 3:16-17

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

2 Timothy 3:16‭-‬17, ESV

Everything in the 66 books from Genesis through Revelation was given through men by God to show us how (and not) to live, find the truth of Christ, and grow together in godliness.

VerseD: Matthew 4:4

But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

Matthew 4:4, ESV

We want comfort and ease, but do we want these things more than we want God?

May we seek to please God above our own comfort and needs, for we know He will take care of us.

VerseD: Luke 1:37

“For nothing will be impossible with God.”

Luke 1:37, ESV

We seek youth, the miraculous, and freedom from death and decay. Only God can do any of these, and He proved it through Christ’s life, death, and resurrection.

VerseD: James 1:22-24

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like.

James 1:22‭-‬24, ESV

We all want a better world, but we must be part of making the world better. If we are truly followers of Christ, we will obey Hos commands to go into all the world. Otherwise, we are merely actors, not workers.

Denominational Cities reblog

I wrote this 12 years ago, and it still applies. I can happily say that I currently live in a place where many churches live this out. I am part of a Youth Leader cohort that meets about once a month. They are very dear to me, as are the chances to meet up with them!

Daniel

There are a lot of disagreements between the various denomination in the Church, and even between various congregations within those denominations. Some congregations are non-denominational, yet they can still be as unfriendly toward other churches. During the Reformation, countries were divided by regions. Each region could choose to be Catholic, Lutheran, or whatever else was […]

VerseD: Romans 15:4

For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

Romans 15:4, ESV

We try to find the good in things and make life better, but God has shown us in the Bible that our only hope is in Christ, and He is helping us through this life and into the next.

VerseD: Psalm 119:105

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Psalm 119:105, ESV

We keep seeking our best lives and how to live well.

It is all found in the Bible, the Word of God, full of truth and guidance.
