“For nothing will be impossible with God.”
Luke 1:37, ESV
God can do anything: give children to the childless, heal the sick, raise the dead, and forgive the sinner.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:1, ESV
God has shown His faithfulness and goodness through the most extreme and miraculous means possible: He stepped out of eternity and became one of us.
From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised!
Psalm 113:3, ESV
God has shown His faithfulness and goodness, first through the consistent reliability of nature but mostly through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.”
Revelation 3:20, ESV
God showed His faithfulness and goodness by becoming one us to save us. He has promised to not leave us and to return bodily, and we can join Him in eternity if we accept His offer of grace by faith.
For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Galatians 5:14, ESV
God showed His faithfulness and goodness by becoming one of us and making us His neighbors, setting the example we are to follow in sacrificial love.
All this happened
Psalm 105:45, CSB
so that they might keep his statutes
and obey his instructions.
Hallelujah!
God showed His faithfulness and goodness by redeeming Israel and showing His nature through His commands. He has shown us His love and expectations, and He proved them through Christ. Now He empowers us to love, rejoice, and obey while sharing this gospel with the world.
For he remembered his holy promise
Psalm 105:42-43, CSB
to Abraham his servant.
He brought his people out with rejoicing,
his chosen ones with shouts of joy.
God showed His faithfulness and goodness by keeping His promise to redeem Abraham’s descendants. We can rejoice like Israel that God has remembered His promise and saved us through Christ and empowered us to rejoice and share this good news in this world.
He opened a rock, and water gushed out;
Psalm 105:41, CSB
it flowed like a stream in the desert.
God shows His faithfulness and goodness by providing water for Israel while the wandered in the wilderness. Likewise, He shows His faithfulness through Christ and empowering we who believe in Him with the Holy Spirit to remain faithful in sharing the gospel.
He spread a cloud as a covering
Psalm 105:39-40, CSB
and gave a fire to light up the night.
They asked, and he brought quail
and satisfied them with bread from heaven.
God is faithful, and He demonstrated this by freeing Israel from slavery and then providing protection, guidance, and food while they followed. Likewise, His faithfulness is ultimately found in Christ who provided our salvation from sin and provides all we need through daily life and the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit.
He sent Moses his servant,
Psalm 105:26-27, CSB
and Aaron, whom he had chosen.
They performed his miraculous signs among them
and wonders in the land of Ham.
God is faithful, and He showed this by keeping His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob by sending Moses to free Israel from slavery and promise a coming Savior from sin. God’s faithfulness also brought that Savior, and we can praise Him and carry this gospel as He moves us throughout the world.
