VerseD: John 1:14

The Word became flesh and dwelt  among us. We observed his glory,  the glory as the one and only Son  from the Father, full of grace and truth.

The story has not changed: God loves us and came to us in the person of Jesus of Nazareth, bringing truth, Grace, and forgiveness to humanity.

VerseD: Colossians 3:1

So if you have been raised with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

The message has not changed, that Jesus Christ is truly God and truly man, that He died for us and rose again, and that He ascended and sits at the right hand ofnthe Father. May we seek and seek to share His glory and goodness every moment.

VerseD: John 14:1

“Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.”

The message is the same: True peace – peace with God, peace in our hearts, peace with others – comes through Christ alone. Our faith in Him brings peace.

VerseD: Matthew 5:3

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs.”

The message has not changed, knowing that we are unable to do anything good enough to earn eternal life, but God in His goodness and grace has made a way for us through His Son, Jesus.

VerseD: Acts 1:8

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

The message has not changed, and we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to be Christ’s witnesses to the world, proclaiming His death, resurrection, ascension, and imminent return.

VerseD: Micah 6:8

Mankind, he has told each of you what is good  and what it is the Lord requires of you: to act justly, to love faithfulness, and to walk humbly with your God.

Micah re-worded the two greatest commandments of loving God and loving others. The message has not changed, only that God became human in the person of Jesus to show us what it means.

VerseD: Isaiah 1:17

Learn to do what is good. Pursue justice.  Correct the oppressor.  Defend the rights of the fatherless. Plead the widow’s cause.

God is love and desires to be with us, and He has called us to follow Him in bringing peace and justice to this world by inviting others into relationship with Him.

VerseD: Amos 5:24

But let justice flow like water, and righteousness, like an unfailing stream.

Amos 5:24, CSB

God is in control and cares for us, working His justice through us until Christ returns and brings final justice to fruition.

VerseD: Isaiah 53:5

But he was pierced because of our rebellion, crushed because of our iniquities; punishment for our peace was on him, and we are healed by his wounds.

God is faithful, and His faithfulness grows from His justice. To perform His divine justice, He took the penalty we deserve, faithfully fulfilling the need out of His love for His creation: us.

VerseD: Micah 6:8

‭He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

Our sovereign God has shown us the path of peace: to love God through acknowledging His goodness and our need for Him and by living rightly with others in kindness, love, and justice.
