We are truly made free in Christ to choose whether to serve Him or ourselves.

Choose Christ, Redeemed one.

Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!

All good things come from God, and when this lost world is at it’s craziest we can find freedom, strength, and peace in Him alone.

VerseD: Romans 8:38-39

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:38‭-‬39, ESV

If you are found in Christ, you are His, sealed with the Holy Spirit, and unable to be plucked from His hand.

It is a done deal.

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

We know we have a God who completely understands us, because He became and lived as one of us, without sin, and died on our behalf and rise again to glory.

So we know He listens when we call, and we can ask anything anytime without fear or shame.

“But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you”

Matthew 5:44, ESV

Retaliation belongs to the Lord. We should do as Jesus did when He walked this earth: pray for others and be willing to be hurt and even killed for them that they may see His faithfulness and love.

“The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”

Exodus 14:14, ESV

God will end all oppression, but first and foremost from our sin. The rest definitely comes at the end of this world at Christ’s return.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

The Holy Spirit empowers us to love others by sharing the Gospel faithfully.

VerseD: Matthew 22:37-39

And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

How do we live God and obey His commandments? We love others.

How do we love others? We obey God’s commandments and seek God above all else.

VerseD: Hebrews 12:11

For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

Our world largely seeks to avoid pain and difficult circumstances (or seeks them wrongly), but God will allow and even send painful circumstances to help grow more like Christ.

“Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out”

We have had a way of thinking that is contrary to God. We must turn to God and learn how to live and think in a godly,Christ-like way and ask for God’s forgiveness in Jesus Christ.
