VerseD: Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

God is changing this world for His glory, and He sends Christians into the world to make this change, amidst hatred and violence toward His Word, bringing us into glory at the end of our lives.

VerseD: Isaiah 6:8

And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.”

God wants to change this world for His glory and our good. He calls us to go in His name.

So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.

The cost of following Jesus is getting over ourselves, and we should therefore treat others the way Jesus treated us, with sacrificial love, especially within the Church.

Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise.

God has called us to wisdom, and He equips the Church to share wisdom. Wisdom calls for us to care for each other, helping and praying for each other and rejoicing in Christ together.

Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

We find rest and peace in Christ, and we offer the same to each other by helping each other through this life.

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

God is omnipotent and omniscient, so we can trust that He knows what He is doing in and through us to change our world. We can work hard knowing He is faithful and capable of redeeming us and this world.

‭”For you always have the poor with you, but you do not always have Me.”

We worship Christ by helping the poor in spirit, the poor in possessions, and the poor in hope and stability, knowing He is the hope of the world who denied Himself for our sake.

‭”For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place and you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?”

Just like the rocks could have cried out at Jesus’ triumphal entry, God will get His Word to people to save them, but He wants us to be His feet, His hands, and His voice to the world.

So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

Christ came to be our example, yet He came preaching an all-encompassing, life-changing message to follow Him. We are now tasked with joining Him in sharing this message with the world.

Therefore, be imitators of God, as dearly loved children, and walk in love, as Christ also loved us and gave himself for us, a sacrificial and fragrant offering to God.

How can we not live others, when Christ have us the perfect example to follow by sacrificing Himself for our benefit? Let us sacrifice of our time, energy, resources, and even our lives for the sake of the gospel and the souls of others.
