The cost of following Jesus is not pursuing every desire but only what good and Holy. It is seeking God and His will above all and sharing His truth with others: life in Christ.

We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ

The cost of following Jesus is getting over ourselves, admitting we don’t have all the answers, and devoting ourselves to God’s Word. Then, we respond to attacks on the faith with Scripture, and stop arguments with the Word of God.

The cost of following Jesus is denying ourselves and choosing God over all things. Our biggest concern should be seeking God.

So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.

The cost of following Jesus is getting over ourselves, and we should therefore treat others the way Jesus treated us, with sacrificial love, especially within the Church.

Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.”

The cost of following Jesus is getting over yourself, knowing you need help for salvation and must live the same sacrificial life of love.

Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

God takes care of us, especially as we seek Him and study His Word. He shows that He even cares about how we feel about what others think. As long as we remain in Chriat, His thoughts are all we need to care about. (But we will still care for others!)

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

God takes care of us, even when we stood condemned, when He sent Jesus to save us from condemnation.

Turn to Jesus and repent of sin.

even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.

God takes care of us, so that even if we are in dire situations or die, He can save us by His might right hand in the name of Jesus Christ.

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus

Romans 3:23-24, ESV

God takes care of us, even in our sin, by providing His grace and forgiveness through the work of Christ to those who have faith.

“You also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”

Luke 12:40, ESV

God takes care of us, most importantly by the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. The Church now prepares the world for His imminent return to judge the world.
