VerseD: John 14:1

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.”

Christ has overcome this world by overcoming death and the grave. We can find peace in Him by believing God has done this. This world is not our home, and one day He will unite us again in eternity!

Versed: Philippians 2:13

for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
Philippians 2:13, ESV

We follow Christ’s example of humility and obedience to be a part of God’s good plan, and He helps us with His Holy Spirit.

VerseD: John 15:5

I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
John 15:5, ESV

All our deeds and works are tainted by our sin. We only truly do good works when we are living in the power and grace of Christ.

VerseD: Psalm 77:11-12

I will remember the deeds of the Lord ; yes, I will remember your wonders of old. I will ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds.
Psalm 77:11‭-‬12, ESV

God created all things, guided Israel through the wilderness, rebuked and disciplined His people, and saved all who believe He came as a human and died on the cross for our sins.

There are many reasons to praise God. Think of all He has done for you, and worship.

VerseD: Proverbs 9:10

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.

True wisdom reveals our sinful nature and desperate need for grace and forgiveness from our Creator and Judge.

Seek the wisdom of God, found in the Person of Jesus Christ.

VerseD: 2 Corinthians 4:16

So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.
2 Corinthians 4:16, ESV

Living for God can be hard, especially with our fallen, sinful world full of death and our own desires.

But the Holy Spirit sustains us and encourages us every day. Lean in and trust God.

Versed: John 3:18

Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
John 3:18, ESV

Denying Christ leaves you under God’s wrath. Only through faith in Christ, the Son of the living God who took on the Father’s wrath in our place, are we freed from that condemnation.

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Drawing near to God by the Holy Spirit protects, strengthens, and comforts you in all trials, troubles, worries, and attacks, so that no matter what is happening you can know His peace.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
James 4:7, ESV

It is especially hard for the devil to attack you if you remain close to God.

Read your Bible, live with a church family, and pray.

The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.
Psalm 34:18, ESV

Life can be hard, disheartening, oppressive, scary, depressing, and all-around cruddy.

God is closest during these times. Take hold of His hand.
