As Christ dwells in us by the Holy Spirit, we see God’s compassion, kindness, humility, and patient love flow through us.

VerseD: Psalm 4:8

In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.

Psalm 4:8, ESV

It only takes one little thing going wrong in this world to show us we are not in control. Let us trust the One who declares the end from the beginning, who knows and controls all things, and dwell in his peace.

VerseD: Isaiah 26:3

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.

When the Maker of heaven and earth, the Judge of all Creation is on our side, we should have no reason fear.

And people will want the peace we have.

Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!

Our God is ever present, but He does not follow us. We follow Him.
Wait for Him. Dwell in Him. Be strong in the Lord who saves.

VerseD: Psalm 119:11

I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.
Psalm 119:11, ESV

This goes beyond memorizing Scripture.

We read, study, and share the Word of God that the Word of God (Jesus) dwells more deeply in and through us.

VerseD: Psalm 77:11-12

I will remember the deeds of the Lord ; yes, I will remember your wonders of old. I will ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds.
Psalm 77:11‭-‬12, ESV

God created all things, guided Israel through the wilderness, rebuked and disciplined His people, and saved all who believe He came as a human and died on the cross for our sins.

There are many reasons to praise God. Think of all He has done for you, and worship.

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.

We are commanded to love God and love people, but it is at best difficult and at worst impossible without continually being consumed by the love of God through Jesus.
