When Jesus saw it, he was indignant  and said to them, “Let the little children come to me. Don’t stop them, because the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”

The gospel is for all people, no matter their age or any other factor. Children understand more than often given credit, and the hardest heart can be softened to be like that of a child. Just believe.

Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child — this one is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Let us love the Church, knowing there are others who understand some things better than we do and that we need the Church to help us, like a family, following our God and Big Brother.

We walk in the footsteps of Christ, the one who welcomed and loved children and calls us to the same humble curiosity as children. Likewise, we should encourage curiosity and care for all children.

VerseD: James 1:12

Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

When we realize that in Christ our identity is a loved child of the Most High King, we can endure and overcome anything in this life for His sake and by His power.

But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God

John 1:12, ESV

Though we have pushed God away, when we believe in Jesus, our compassionate God loves us, redeems us, and welcomes us into the family of God, in Jesus’ name.

VerseD: Matthew 18:3-5

and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. “Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me”

Just as our Lord condescended to reach us, we must have the faith of a child in their parents in His work, and we must share the truth of Christ with the whole world.

The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice; he who fathers a wise son will be glad in him.

Any parent is happy when their children choose to do well in life.

How much more delighted is God when we choose to follow and obey Christ?

VerseD: Romans 8:35

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?

Parents often say each of their children is their favorite and that each is always loved no matter what.

How much more is this true of the One who died to take away our sins?

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.

In general, children remember things they have been taught, and wise and practical things tend to stick.

How much more then should we show and tell the truths of God?

We are adopted children of God by faith in Christ. We are siblings by Blood.
