VerseD: Mark 16:6

And he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him.”

Mark 16:6, ESV

We have a faith that can be tested: there is no body in the tomb. Don’t let reason be a reason you don’t believe, for it is a reasonable faith.

VerseD: Matthew 27:63-64

and said, “Sir, we remember how that impostor said, while he was still alive, ‘After three days I will rise.’ Therefore order the tomb to be made secure until the third day, lest his disciples go and steal him away and tell the people, ‘He has risen from the dead,’ and the last fraud will be worse than the first.”

Matthew 27:63‭-‬64, ESV

We like to think we can outsmart God, even when we know the truth, but God is beyond our ways and understanding.

His plans cannot be stopped. It’s better to join Him.

VerseD: Matthew 21:27

And they answered Jesus and said, “We do not know.” He also said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”

Matthew 21:27, LSB

We like to think we have great understanding, but if we deny the clear evidence or meaning of Scripture, Christ won’t bend to our understandings. We must conform to His truth.

Truth Quest Youth Apologetics Conference Prescott – Truth & Unity – March 24-25, 2023

This weekend, I am with my youth group joining several other youth groups for the Truth Quest Apologetics Conference.

Please pray for these students and churches. In a world of division and hatred, we are teaching about the unity we have in the Truth of Christ.

(And I plan on uploading my presentation here, too)

John 17:20-21

Daniel

VerseD: 1 John 4:4

Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

1 John 4:4, ESV

When we think we know better than everyone, we are more likely to fail.

Trust our Creator and His promises rather than merely following our own knowledge and wisdom.

VerseD: 3 John 1:11

Beloved, do not imitate evil but imitate good. Whoever does good is from God; whoever does evil has not seen God.

3 John 1:11, ESV

Too much knowledge puffs up, and we like to think we know more than we do. Then we copy what feels right to us rather than what may be true. Let us seek God and His wisdom, knowing that He alone is good and true.

VerseD: 1 Corinthians 13:6

it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.

1 Corinthians 13:6, ESV

When we focus on the source of love and truth, we celebrate when love and truth thrive and mourn when sin and pain happen.

VerseD: John 8:32

“and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

John 8:32, ESV

We know we are horrible, and this truth hurts, but the truth that God came to us to redeem us and restore us frees us to move past mistakes, sins, and horribleness and into life, love, and grace.

VerseD: Galatians 1:10

For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Galatians 1:10, ESV

We know God is with us, so we seek to please Him even if the rest of the world tells us to follow what seems good. We are open to corrections but it must align with Scripture and conscience in the Holy Spirit.

VerseD: Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Hebrews 4:12, ESV

We fear what others may say or do to us, but God’s Word can cut much deeper and reveal more about us than anything or anyone in this world. But He also can heal and restore us better than any other.

Let us trust in Him.
