VerseD: Luke 1:45

“Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill what he has spoken to her!”

God told the prophets Jesus was coming, and He came. He said He is coming again. Let us join with Mary in believing the Word of the Lord that God is with us.

VerseD: Hebrews 12:2

keeping our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy that lay before him, he endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

We find joy and peace by remaining focused on the joy Christ could see on the other side of the cross, knowing He took our shame and punishment on Himself to bring us into fellowship with God when we believe He saved us from the curse of sin and is always with us.

You also must be patient. Strengthen your hearts, because the Lord’s coming is near.

We find joy in the loving patience of God which pushes us toward patience with others, for we know He has been patient with us and with the whole world, giving the lost more time to seek Him.

“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.”

There is hope and peace in knowing the God and Creator of the universe is also the one keeping His eye on us and has given His life to save us.

But seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you.

We find hope and peace in knowing that when we seek God’s righteousness in our lives and that He helps us in all ways.

VerseD: Isaiah 7:14

Therefore, the Lord himself will give you a sign: See, the virgin will conceive, have a son, and name him Immanuel.

We find hope and peace knowing God prepared for our salvation centuries before Jesus came, even from before the foundation of the world, that He would be with us.

“Look, the days are coming” — this is the  Lord’s declaration — “when I will fulfill the good promise that I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and the house of Judah.”

There is hope and peace in knowing God not only knew He was bringing salvation but was planning it and making it happen. He is in control.

We have hope and peace in knowing that we can protect our hearts with the Holy Spirit given to us by God when our faith is in Christ who gave Himself for us.

There is hope and peace in knowing the triune God helps us to live at peace and in harmony with Him and each other as we go through this troublesome life.

There is hope and peace in knowing that God guides us and loves us enough to come save us Himself through sacrificial love.
