VerseD: Mark 16:15

And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.”

Our purpose in life is to glorify God. The best way to do this is to tell others about the work of the Son of God, Jesus Christ, to save us from our sins and offer us eternal life.

VerseD: John 8:12

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
John 8:12, ESV

In this life of darkness and fear, we can be comforted by believing in the Light of the world who has overcome the darkness.

VerseD: Romans 8:31

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Romans 8:31, ESV

This world has many problems and hates Christ and His Church. Satan himself seeks to destroy us. But whom/what do we have to fear, knowing God wins and has saved our souls?

VerseD: John 14:1

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.”
John 14:1, ESV

Do you focus more on your problems or on Christ and His promises? Do you believe God is greater than your problems? Do you trust Christ?

VerseD: 1 John 2:15-16

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.
1 John 2:15‭-‬16 ESV

Love the people of ther world through word and action.

Reject the sinful desires of the world (things, wealth, sex, violence, death), instead pursuing God and His righteousness.

VerseD: Psalm 119:105

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Psalm 119:105, ESV

Our world, our lives, our walk with God all makes sense through Scripture, the Word of God. Only by it do we see the answer to evil, sin, and the need for a Savior.

And Who that Savior is.

VerseD: Isaiah 60:3

And nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.
Isaiah 60:3, ESV

The Lord draws all peoples to Himself. We are all made in the image of God, so we all must share the gospel with all people. As it says, one day every knee will bow to Jesus.

VerseD: 1 Peter 1:14-15

As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct
1 Peter 1:14‭-‬15, ESV

We are made new in Christ. We should no longer live by what we have known and thought, or by what the world says, but by what God says through His Word and Holy Spirit.

VerseD: 3 John 1:11

Beloved, do not imitate evil but imitate good. Whoever does good is from God; whoever does evil has not seen God.
3 John 1:11, ESV

We are not to copy the world. We are separate, different, called to better.

Be radical. Love everyone. Do good for all people, in Christ’s name.

VerseD: 1 Corinthians 1:18

For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
1 CORINTHIANS 1:18, NASB

The message we share sounds foolish to the world.

Be ready for that. Do not be ashamed of sounding foolish. That is being ashamed of His saving work.

Be strong in the power of Christ.
