VerseD: Proverbs 29:25

The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.
Proverbs 29:25, ESV

What can people do to you that is so bad? At worst, they kill. At best, they make us happy.
Only God can give us eternal life and peace through Christ.

VerseD: Jeremiah 17:7

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.”
Jeremiah 17:7, ESV

All of our hope, peace, and strength come from God. He has given us more than enough reason to trust Him, most notably by the cross of Christ.

VerseD: Psalm 27:4

One thing have I asked of the Lord , that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.
Psalm 27:4, ESV

Is our heart’s desire to be with God? Trials, troubles, and challenges should draw us closer to Him, for He is our only hope and strength.

VerseD: Psalm 18:2

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
Psalm 18:2, ESV

When the troubles and temptations of this world seem great, we know that our God is greater and is helping and defending us.

VerseD: Psalm 91:2

I will say to the Lord , “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
Psalm 91:2, ESV

Show the world where your hope lies: consciously choose to trust in the Lord who came and died to save us from sin and death, and the world will want the peace and joy that will flow through.

VerseD: Psalm 40:1-2

I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure.
Psalm 40:1‭-‬2, ESV

Our giving of glory to God and our most effective witness to others of His goodness and awesomeness is trusting patiently in Him in all circumstances.
For we know we stand on His solid foundation.

VerseD: Psalm 55:22

Cast your burden on the Lord , and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.
Psalm 55:22, ESV

God does not promise no trouble in life. “Cast your burden” implies problems. Rather, He uses our difficulties and our reliance on Him to shine His light to this hurting world.

VerseD: Philippians 4:7

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:7, ESV

We may face many problems and attacks in this world, especially as we follow Christ, but His Holy Spirit will empower and encourage us through supernatural peace and calm.

VerseD: Isaiah 12:2

“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.”
Isaiah 12:2, ESV

Our hope is found in nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.
Let us share our hope with the world.

VerseD: Matthew 6:7-8

“And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.”
Matthew 6:7‭-‬8, ESV

God does not need long prayers, but He does enjoy speaking with us. We can ask over and over, but He does know our hearts and requests as well as what we need.
He wants our devotion and to give us what we need.
