VerseD: Psalm 31

Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord!

We begin with praise for God, and then we see that we are able to face anything in this life, knowing He is with us, He has a plan, and He will fulfill His promises.

God has lavished His love and grace on us, so let us come to Him with thankful worship continually.

Our God became one of us to show His love and grace is not some abstract, distant sentimentality, but He has experienced the best and worst of humanity.

By His Spirit, He now dwells in us to encourage, strengthen, and save us in and from our sinful, difficult life.

Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples!

God deserves all our praise and thanksgiving, and we have been called to share His love, grace, and salvation with the whole world.

As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him.

We step away from God, even slap Him in the face with our sin, when we try to do things our own way.

Yet, like a loving Father, He comes to us with compassion and care to correct us.

Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!

God made us for community, and Jesus came for the purpose and prayed that we could live in unity.

May we focus on Christ to unite us and help us love each other at all times.

But I will sing of your strength; I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning. For you have been to me a fortress and a refuge in the day of my distress.

Sometimes it can feel difficult to worship God, but, if we diligently search the Scripture and remember His goodness, we can find it easier to praise our Creator, Protector, and Healer.

From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised!

If God is truly God, then we must praise Him for Creation and sustaining all things all the time. We must stop thinking strictly of “the natural way of things” and recognize His sovereign Hand in everything.

For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Jesus showed He is our good and loving God, being faithful to the point of death on a cross and then raising Himself from the dead, granting us forgiveness and hope, showing He is worthy of worship.

I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your wonders of old. I will ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds.

We are horrible on our own.

Jesus is good, as He is God.

Jesus came to set the example for us, Love well, die unjustly, and raise to life again – to save us from our horribleness.

Let us love sacrificially to show God’s goodness to others.
