Prayer changes us to have more faith in what God can do. May we have the faith and seek more faith to believe God’s promises and power.

Prayer helps us focus our thoughts and will on God and His Kingdom, but it also changes our hearts to seek the lost in this world.

Prayer changes us, and gratitude especially makes us more hopeful and thankful in general. We seek God to grow in His joy and Will.

Prayer changes us and draws into God’s will. We seek God and are conformed to His will.

Call to Prayer: Truth Quest 2024

Tonight and tomorrow (April 12-13) is the Truth Quest Youth Apologetics Conference in Prescott, AZ.

We have about 250 youth present.

Please pray all of us speakers speak well the words of truth, and may all find freedom in Christ!

Pray at all times in the Spirit with every prayer and request, and stay alert in this with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints.

We get through this life and even thrive because we have God’s Word, God’s people, and God’s Spirit guiding, encouraging, and empowering us. May we pray in the Spirit for each other and all of our needs.

In the days of His flesh, He offered up both prayers and supplications with loud crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His piety.

Christ came to be our example in all things, especially in sacrificial love,  showing us the closeness of God through prayer even and especially in difficult times.

so that there would be no division in the body, but that the members would have the same concern for each other. So if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and individual members of it.

Jesus calls us to love each other as He loves us, and He empowers His Church to show grace, forgiveness, and encouragement to each other, to lift each other up and carry each other as we need it.

And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart.

Jesus reminds us that life is hard, and when we don’t see the response we wanted or it doesn’t come fast enough, hang in there. Keep praying. The Holy Spirit will also give us strength, wisdom, and help with our prayers.

Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.

Life gets hard for many reasons, and sometimes it is too much. Yet God helps us, because He loves in the believer by the Holy Spirit, so we can trust that God knows our needs and helps us pray even when we feel like we can’t.
