The Light of world came to us to establish a new covenant, sacrificing Himself for our salvation and rising again for our hope. Now He dwells in and through us to shine His goodness in this dark and crazy world.
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

This world is cynical, untrusting, and faithless, but our God gives us His Holy Spirit to show and to help us live out everlasting love, mercy, grace, and faithfulness.

We are not bound to the Law of Moses with strict rules and sacrifices, for the perfect sacrifice was made. In Christ, we now seek to love God who indwells us by His Holy Spirit and helps us.
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

Our God has shown His love for us. Let us worship Him by moving each other, by loving His Church.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

Our world is a spiritually dry wasteland, and we often long for what people in the past seemed to have. Yet, God the Holy Spirit flows through each believer in Jesus Christ to bring our Lord’s grace and love to this dry and weary world to the glory of the Father.
And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

We do not change our hearts to be good. God changes us and makes us new and good by His Holy Spirit. We join His work.

How did Christ love others?
Grace.
Mercy.
Patience.
He defended truth, yes, but He also (usually) lovingly guided back to truth.

When we are born again as Christians, God renews our hearts and fills us with His Holy Spirit. And we will know this is true by our newfound devotion for God and His Word, love for the Church, and urgent compassion for the lost.
