If we strive for our best life now, it means it only gets worse after we die (i.e. Hell).
Jesus calls us to be servants, yes, possibly even doormats if that is what it takes to show the love, grace, and mercy of God to this world.

Who loves us like our Creator and Redeemer? May we follow His example and give Him glory as we love others with His abiding, sacrificial love.

We are not in a competition to be the best. We ought to be helping each other be our best in Christ through His love and grace flowing through us.

This life is not about us. Life is about glorifying God and serving others with humble, sacrificial love.

We pray, seeking God.
We read Sripture, thinking about God.
We work diligently, obeying God.
We share His Gospel, loving God by loving others.

By the Holy Spirit, Christ – the Light of Man – lives and moves through us. We should be showing that light to our dark world through our love and good works that point all to glorify God.

We may have disagreements within the Church, but we should still love each other, in Christ. This can help draw more people to Him.

VerseD: Hebrews 10:24-25

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

We meet in person to encourage each other in the Word of God, with love, and to share the Gospel and do good works to bring glory to God.

Generosity often begets generosity.
Especially in matters of love and grace.
Do as our Lord has done and share His love and grace, growing in both.

But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you
Matthew 5:44, ESV

Our hope in Christ pushes us to emulate Him, and, just like He prayed for and loved those persecuting Him, we win over others by praying for and showing love to those who despise us.
