The most important thing the Lord requires of us is faith and obedience. Without faith, we cannot be fully obedient. Without obedience, we show our lack of faith.

A fool hates hearing they are wrong. Jesus revealed the truth of God, and none of us were right.
Will you listen to Him?
Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,

It is okay to be angry over unrighteousness, injustice, and cruelty. We must give that anger to God. Vengeance belongs to Him. Love your neighbor.
From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised!

Wait on God patiently. Trust Him in all things. He may not move on our time, but He holds us in His hands throughout.

We should be regularly reading, reciting, and ruminating on (thinking about) Scripture. It helps with our day to day life and prepares us for the next life.
If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
John 15:7, ESV
Jesus is not saying that as a Christian you can ask for and get whatever you want or think you need.
Jesus is saying that the closer you are to Him, the more you will want what God wants, and you will get those things according to His will. (The full meaning of “in Jesus’ name” is to act in and take on the character of Jesus.)
“If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
Luke 11:13, ESV
We all like giving good gifts, especially to those whom we love.
What better gifts could we get from our heavenly Father than forgiveness of sins through His Son and a Comforter who connects us to Him?
As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him.
Psalm 103:13, ESV
There is grace and compassion shown to all people, but only those who trust in God’s Son receive His full compassion and forgiveness.
