VerseD: John 14:1-3

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.”

When we believe in the work of Christ, we are reserved a space in eternity, and He has sent the Holy Spirit as a deposit to remind us of this hope.

VerseD: Proverbs 31:25-26

Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.

Not just women, but all in Christ’s Church, are clothed in Christ, giving us hope, strength, and kindness toward others, knowing He has dome the same for us.

VerseD: Psalm 23:4

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Psalm 23:4, ESV

It is because of sin – individually and collectively – that we face hard times. Our God has given us His peace and a firm hope to endure and overcome through the cross of Christ.

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

God has revealed Himself in multiple ways, most especially through the life, death, and resurrection of Christ. Faith is not blind, and it provides hope for the next life.

And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

When our focus is on God, even the sufferings of this world will seem insignificant as we remember His suffering for us and the promise of renewal and restoration in the next life.

VerseD: Esther 4:14

“For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

We have been tasked with calling out sin by the authority of Christ. We bring each other closer to Christ and remind each other of the hope we have in His coming.

VerseD: 1 Corinthians 12:25-27

that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together. Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.

We join in Christ’s suffering, and we share in His resurrection. May we encourage each other as we await His return, praying for each other and loving each other in Christ’s love.

Walking with God, we can face any need, any hurt, any blessing, any circumstance with courage, hope, and thankfulness.

For the Christian, God is with us always by His Holy Spirit, and as we rely on Him in every circumstance He sustains us.

VerseD: Romans 5:3-5

Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

We need not fear what this life does to us, for we know that as we pursue Him, God uses our circumstances to make us more like Jesus, living inside us by the Holy Spirit who gives us the hope of eternal life free from sin and pain.
