VerseD: Philippians 4:9

We show we love God when we love others, and we do that by sacrificially living out the gospel as an example for others and for the glory of God by power of the Holy Spirit.

VerseD: Matthew 6:6

But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

Our God is in control, not needing our prayers but rewarding our faithfulness to seek Him with help from the Holy Spirit.

VerseD: Philippians 1:9-10

And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ

It is the love and grace of God that helps us see the world’s schemes as well as beauty, helping us want to choose His good and perfect way.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

We may struggle in this life – whether from our own sin and mistakes or the way this world works – but in Christ the Father has given us His hope and peace through the Holy Spirit.

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!

We often think asking God for help or seeking Him is weakness, but that is when we fail to remember/realize we are inherently weak.

When we are reminded of the promises of God and His faithfulness, we find His strength and faithfulness in our own lives.

If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.

We so often wish to do our own thing, but the Holy Spirit directs us and transforms us to think and act like Christ to the glory of the Father. May we choose to follow.

VerseD: 1 Corinthians 12:25-27

that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together. Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.

We tend to be selfish, self-focuded. In Christ, the Holy Spirit helps us genuinely care for others, joining in weeping and pain as well as celebrating and laughing. All to the glory of God.

Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.

We can be childish in our reactions to problems and our own sinfulness. Instead, we should take responsibility for our own sin and trust God to handle our forgiveness and problems we face, eing ready to stand for and proclaim truth.

We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ

Our own thoughts can betray us, so we trust Christ to help us. We use His Word and the Holy Spirit to defeat all arguments (even if the arguers refuse to listen.)

VerseD: Matthew 9:37-38

Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

We want the world to change, but we often simply wait for it.

The Holy Spirit sends us into the world to make disciples of Christ. Heed the call and change the world.
