VerseD: Philippians 4:6

do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Philippians 4:6, ESV

It is okay to be concerned about things, but our concern should not become worry and anxiety. Rather, we should talk to God (pray and ask), thankfully remembering that He proved His power and faithfulness through the cross.

VerseD: Psalm 119:105

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Psalm 119:105, ESV

Scripture reveals the truth of who we are (sinners in need of a Savior, yet made in His image), who God is (our Creator and Savior), and what He has done and will do (saved us and is coming again to judge).

VerseD: Isaiah 43:18-19

“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”

Isaiah 43:18‭-‬19, ESV

Our world is a spiritually dry wasteland, and we often long for what people in the past seemed to have. Yet, God the Holy Spirit flows through each believer in Jesus Christ to bring our Lord’s grace and love to this dry and weary world to the glory of the Father.

Happy New Year 2022!

Quite a bit of this, I admit, I just copied and pasted! I changed and added what was needed.

Apparently stuff happened this year. (*sarcasm)

We will avoid the political stuff for now, some the results of media drama, and much of the sadness, stupidness, and crazy surrounding … 2021.

On some positive notes, my wife got to go back to Kindergarten. Teaching, that is. And she loves it.

I had to slow down at my friend’s coffee shop. My Youth Group grew much bigger,, and then a life-long dream bean coming true. I became an Instructional Assistant (one step below professor, but I still teach … but mostly grade work and keep students on task) for Christian Worldview at Grand Canyon University. That is pretty cool.

Overall, we had a good year. We also did a lot of upgrades around the house, and otherwise have done many things we wanted/needed to do.

And God is still good and in control.

This next year will definitely be … 2022.

In any event, may you receive an abundance of bunches of blessings this year. And though life may take some effort to trudge through, fall on the promises of God, this year and always.

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
Numbers 6:24‭-‬26 ESV

In His Love,

Daniel

VerseD: Psalm 73:26

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Psalm 73:26, ESV

No matter what a day may bring, God is in control and holding all things together. Including us. We can trust Him.

VerseD: 1 Corinthians 10:31

So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

1 Corinthians 10:31, ESV

There are times we disagree about how to worship God, but as long as it does not contradict Scripture and we strive to honor God in our acts, we should show grace to each other in Christ’s love.

VerseD: Proverbs 21:21

Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness will find life, righteousness, and honor.

Proverbs 21:21, ESV

Our God full of kindness and righteousness is the source of all kindness and righteousness. Pursuing the qualities should lead us to the Giver of Life and Redeemer of our souls.

VerseD: Psalm 23:3

He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Psalm 23:3, ESV

God grants us peace and grace that we might share it with others to lead them to know Him, too.

VerseD: 1 John 4:11

Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

1 John 4:11, ESV

God loved us enough to become one of us and die for us. We should be willing to lay our lives down for others for the sake of the gospel and the glory of God.

VerseD: Matthew 6:3

But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing

Matthew 6:3, ESV

People did not expect God to become a man, yet He did to help us.

Our world has become cynical and doesn’t expect people to do good things. Don’t do good things for them, but for the One who first did it for us.
