Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
James 4:7, ESV
God is our defender, having crushed Satan’s head through the cross.
Let us draw closely to God, submitting to His sovereignty and might, and He will drive the Devil away.
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.
Psalm 34:18, ESV
We are woefully frail, and realizing that can free us but also push us to the give up.
Thankfully, our mighty God can heal and restore, always infinitely close and ready to lift us when we call.
But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.

Christ has taken all our sin and shame on Himself that we might have peace and be one with God, healing the rift that we put between ourselves and a holy God.

God has chosen to dwell in us by the Holy Spirit. The world hates God, but we know He ultimately wins. Do not fear the world.
