See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.

People may be able to know we are Christians, but they may not know the truth of being God’s adopted children through Christ. We still show them God’s love.

But to all who did receive him, he gave them the right to be children of God, to those who believe in his name

God created us for fellowship, but we have all sinned and separated ourselves from each other and Him. But He became one of us to restore fellowship and even invite us into His family when we believe.

VerseD: 1 Peter 2:9-10

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

God created us for fellowship, but in our sin we separated from Him and each other. But He came to us to redeem us and restore us, to make us a holy people in fellowship with Him and each other when we believe in Christ.

VerseD: Hebrews 13:16

Don’t neglect to do what is good and to share, for God is pleased with such sacrifices.

God created us for fellowship, but we broke that by stealing from His glory and our own honor. He became one of us to restore fellowship, and He calls us to similarly sacrifice and care for each other to His glory.

so that there would be no division in the body, but that the members would have the same concern for each other. So if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and individual members of it.

Jesus calls us to love each other as He loves us, and He empowers His Church to show grace, forgiveness, and encouragement to each other, to lift each other up and carry each other as we need it.

For God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you demonstrated for his name by serving the saints — and by continuing to serve them.

Jesus gave us a new commandment, to love the Church, and He helps us by growing our love for His Church as we seek Him.

“You are the light of the world. A city situated on a hill cannot be hidden.”

Jesus has put His light in us and called us to live like Him, so let us pray that He helps us overcome ourselves and live His truth so that others may see us and turn to Him.

What do you think? If someone has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, won’t he leave the ninety-nine on the hillside and go and search for the stray?

Life can be crazy, and it doesn’t help when we push each other away. Let us be like our Lord who came after us, and, when we see a fellow believer wandering off, let’s collectively pursue and strengthen them in Christ.

If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.

Life is hard enough without the Church getting into squabbles and frivolous fights. Let us focus on the spiritual war waging around us, and by the authority of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit speak against evil and seek to bring glory to God to all around us.

And he said to them, “Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”

Life can be difficult, especially when we focus having what others have. Instead, let’s encourage to remember that we have been given the greatest treasure – Christ – who is coming back for us.
