VerseD: Matthew 6:34

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Matthew 6:34, NIV

Life throws many problems at us, and it can be difficult not worrying.

The key is focusing on Christ. It is not easy, but worrying only makes things worse (at least in our minds.)

VerseD: Proverbs 27:5-6

Better is open rebuke than hidden love. Faithful are the wounds of a friend; profuse are the kisses of an enemy.
Proverbs 27:5‭-‬6 ESV

It hurts more finding out others did not want to hurt your feelings rather than spare you difficulty and pain by correcting you.

Nip sin in the bud. Confront it in love, with gentleness, and sooner rather than later.

It hurts less than consequences.

VerseD: Isaiah 40:29

He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.
Isaiah 40:29, ESV

God sustains and strengthens us. Without God … well … we would not even be!

Trust your Creator and lean on His strength.

VerseD: Psalm 18:30

This God—his way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.
Psalm 18:30, ESV

Scripture continues to be proven true, whether through fulfilled prophecy, archaeology, or by living it out.

Live out God’s Word, and your soul shall find refuge.

VerseD: John 7:38

“Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.'”
John 7:38, ESV

The natural result of salvation is the outpouring of God’s love, compassion, and grace through you via the Holy Spirit of Christ.

VerseD: Psalm 73:26

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Psalm 73:26, ESV

We get sick.

We die.

But God never does, and He never changes. Faith in the Son is what redeems us to become like Him.

VerseD: Colossians 3:2

Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
Colossians 3:2, ESV

It is impossible to rightly serve God if we are not focused on Him. Loving others will fall apart if we are not rightly loving Him, even if we are trying to help others but stay focused solely on physical needs and worldly issues.

VerseD: Ephesians 6:10

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.
Ephesians 6:10, ESV

Paul said “finally” here, but he meant all the time, not as an afterthought.

Continually seek and rely on God in every moment.

VerseD: 1 Chronicles 16:11

Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!
1 Chronicles 16:11, ESV

Pastors say to read your Bible every day to stay close to God.

While true, it must go deeper. Seek God throughout the day, contemplating His truth.

Then your strength will be realized.

VerseD: Psalm 16:8

I have set the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.
Psalm 16:8, ESV

Christ should not be center of everything. He should BE EVERYTHING!

Following Christ reveals He is in, surrounding, and holding everything, so we have no reason to worry.
