“The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.”
It’s About Home

One of the hardest things a person can endure is the forced expulsion from one’s home. The pain and humiliation of being forced to leave the place where your ancestors lived, where your parents played, and where you planned for the future is a terrible thing. And it is especially hard when that home is not only taken away from you, but given to your enemies.

This verse is really all about having a home. It is about staying where one’s planted. It’s about security and peace. It’s about having a place where you belong.

It’s About a Promise

This verse also has to do with a promise that was made to the children of Israel. When Solomon penned (or quilled) these words, he was familiar with the promises and warnings…

VerseD: Genesis 15:6

And he believed the Lord , and he counted it to him as righteousness.
Genesis 15:6, ESV

The most important thing the Lord requires of us is faith and obedience. Without faith, we cannot be fully obedient. Without obedience, we show our lack of faith.

The Bad News, The Good News, and The Not Exactly Good News

Important thoughts. Thanks for sharing the facts!
Daniel

Yep

There are so many of these I probably should have shared before now. That being said, this potty humor made me guffaw.
Daniel

Versed: Proverbs 1:7

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Proverbs 1:7, ESV

A fool hates hearing they are wrong. Jesus revealed the truth of God, and none of us were right.

While this is not part of the case exactly, it is important to understand WHY the YEC is superior to the OEC position for reasons non textual or scientific. Like I always say in my videos- WHY is this conversation worth having? Merely so I can claim to be right about Genesis 1?

No.

And not merely because I think this position is actually TRUE and defensible. I think the earth is round, but I have no desire to debate flat earthers on it, because I don’t think it matters at all.

So why does THIS matter?

Monkey can’t find a reason to care.

but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31, ESV

Our God sustains us and fuels us by His Spirit.

Wait on God patiently. Trust Him in all things. He may not move on our time, but He holds us in His hands throughout.
