Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.

Words are important. Words save. Words are meaningless if they are not backed by truth and action, just like The Word becoming flesh to live and die for us.
Go and do likewise.
But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit
Titus 3:4-5, ESV
God came to us to give us hope and life, not by anything we have done but by His power and grace. And He dwells in us to make us clean and clothed in His righteousness.
Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:16, ESV
God came to us in the person of Jesus of Nazareth, and now He offers us to draw near and trust in Him as the only hope for eternal life and help in this life.
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.

God came to us to show us how to love, and, when we believe, He calls us friends and brothers. Let us love His Church to show we love Him.

Jesus came to defeat death and overcome the ways of this world, and now He empowers us to share this truth with the world, bringing others along to believe this.
Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.

The Word indwells us as believers, so may we know Him well that we may be ready to graciously and compassionately answer those who ask about and challenge the gospel.

The light of the world has put His light in us, so may we go out and proclaim His goodness and grace as well as His immanent return.

This world fights and argues against God. The Holy Spirit guides us in all truth, based on the Word, showing how our thoughts deviate from truth and then pointing us to Christ.

In a world that says to follow your heart and do what feels good/right, God has shown us what the good and right way is. It is found in His Word, guided by the Holy Spirit who changes our hearts, and encouraged by faithful fellow Christians.
