VerseD: Deuteronomy 6:5

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.

All of the Law and prophets hinge on this command. Indeed, nothing in this life matters if we do not love and glorify God.

Seek God, but know that He knows everything about you. He will reveal every sin and imperfection, but it is to help you trust and rely on Him as He makes you like Jesus.

God will do all He has promised, the ultimate goal being the redemption of the Saints to the glory and praise of His Name. (And not necessarily our comfort in this life.)

Psalm 42:2

My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; When shall I come and appear before God?
Psalm 42:2, NASB

Our driving passion in life should be seeking out God and His righteousness. We should long to be with His Church and worship together as we await Christ’s return.

VerseD: Deuteronomy 30:16

in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, that you may live and multiply, and that the Lord your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to possess it.
Deuteronomy 30:16, NASB

God expects love and devotion with perfect obedience. The great news for us is that He helps us with the power of His Holy Spirit and through the perfect sacrifice of His Son so that God sees the Son when He looks at us.

VerseD: Psalm 91:1

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High

Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
Psalm 91:1, NASB

Life can be hell. Just as relief from the hot sun can come from standing in the shade, so too can resting in God comfort us from the burning torment in this life and the life to come.

VerseD: Isaiah 40:28

Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.
Isaiah 40:28, ESV

The eternal God created all things, and He does not take breaks or nap (resting from creating the cosmos is not the same as ceasing activity altogether). How could we possibly understand His thoughts and understandings?
