But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.
Psalm 56:3, NLT
People may know we are Christians, but they will not understand why we can endure suffering and calamity. May we represent the peace of Christ in a chaotic world.
What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?
Romans 8:31, NLT
People may know we are Christians, but they may not understand the truth of who Christ is, maybe even hating Him and therefore us. We show them God’s love all the more.
As the youth pastor who is married to the children’s director, I pray about this frequently. We are blessed to have built up a good little team. It can be intimidating sometimes to proclaim God’s Word, even to children. (We have some rambunctious and “too intelligent” young’ins that can challenge the teachings!)
All who teach God’s Word need prayer (that should be all Christians!) Let us remember those engaging young minds, hearts, and souls.

For this Sunday here’s what you can do: This Sunday at Church: This Sunday at Church: Pray for those teaching the Children’s Sunday School at your Church.

See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.
1 John 3:1, NLT
People may be able to know we are Christians, but they may not know the truth of being God’s adopted children through Christ. We still show them God’s love.
But to all who did receive him, he gave them the right to be children of God, to those who believe in his name
John 1:12, CSB
God created us for fellowship, but we have all sinned and separated ourselves from each other and Him. But He became one of us to restore fellowship and even invite us into His family when we believe.
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
1 Peter 2:9-10, CSB
God created us for fellowship, but in our sin we separated from Him and each other. But He came to us to redeem us and restore us, to make us a holy people in fellowship with Him and each other when we believe in Christ.
Don’t neglect to do what is good and to share, for God is pleased with such sacrifices.
Hebrews 13:16, CSB
God created us for fellowship, but we broke that by stealing from His glory and our own honor. He became one of us to restore fellowship, and He calls us to similarly sacrifice and care for each other to His glory.
Our congregation had about 40 people with a handful of kids and mostly older attendees when my wife and I came along. Today, there is a good blend of younger and older. Prayer helps!
Also, be prepared for the challenges that arise as a church grows! Continue praying and seeking God, as individuals and a congregation.

This Sunday at Church I want to encourage you to do the following: Pray for young people to come hear the Gospel in your church

so that there would be no division in the body, but that the members would have the same concern for each other. So if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and individual members of it.
1 Corinthians 12:25-27, CSB
Jesus calls us to love each other as He loves us, and He empowers His Church to show grace, forgiveness, and encouragement to each other, to lift each other up and carry each other as we need it.
For God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you demonstrated for his name by serving the saints — and by continuing to serve them.
Hebrews 6:10, CSB
Jesus gave us a new commandment, to love the Church, and He helps us by growing our love for His Church as we seek Him.
