Only God can redeem us and give us a new heart, and He calls to us through the cross by the Holy Spirit.
Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
Psalm 34:14, ESV
Only God is able to save us from our own sin, giving us peace and goodness. Seek Him in every part of your life.
but the Lord takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love.

We may not be able to see God in this lost and broken world, but He reaches down to those who seek Him and to obey and love Him in this life, giving us hope for His imminent return.

God wants to bless us, and this is done through Christ. To have the Lord smile on you, seek and obey Christ.

The Holy Spirit fills us to help us have faith and to draw near to God, making us more Christ-like and leading us in eternal life.

We like to think we can find our own way, but God has shown us that wisdom in this life and the path to eternal life is only found through faith in the work of Christ and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
And all we need do is seek Him and ask for His grace and forgiveness for having rejected Him.

We might be able to get through this life without God, but it is only through Christ and the regeneration of the Holy Spirit that we can truly thrive and find hope for the next life.
