VerseD: Matthew 5:44

But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you
Matthew 5:44, ESV

Our hope in Christ pushes us to emulate Him, and, just like He prayed for and loved those persecuting Him, we win over others by praying for and showing love to those who despise us.

VerseD: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
1 Thessalonians 5:16‭-‬18, ESV

We show the hope that we have by continually praising God in thankfulness, for we know He is reforming us into Christ’s image to prepare us for His return.

VerseD: Romans 12:12

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
Romans 12:12, ESV

As our Lord prayed, so should we.
As our Lord showed patience under ridicule and pain, so should we.
Since our Lord is risen, we hope in His return.

VerseD: Numbers 6:24-26

The Lord  bless you and keep you;  the Lord  make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;  the Lord  lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
Numbers 6:24‭-‬26, ESV

May we find God’s peace, grace, and forgiveness through Jesus Christ and live in such a way to One Day hear “Well done.”

VerseD: James 5:13

Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise.
James 5:13, ESV

As the Church, we should pray and mourn with those who suffer and celebrate and sing with those who are happy.
It shows God’s love and compassion with all people.

VerseD: Matthew 6:7-8

“And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.”
Matthew 6:7‭-‬8, ESV

God does not need long prayers, but He does enjoy speaking with us. We can ask over and over, but He does know our hearts and requests as well as what we need.
He wants our devotion and to give us what we need.

VerseD: Mark 11:24

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
Mark 11:24, ESV

Whatever we ask for as we seek the Father’s will, God will give us without hesitation.

VerseD: 8:26

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
Romans 8:26, ESV

When life is so difficult and painful that it hurts to even think, God encourages and empowers us to seek Him who knows our wants, needs, and hurts. Then we have the peace of God, even when life is bad.

VerseD: Philippians 4:7

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:7, ESV

The peace of God comes from regular communication with God: reading the Bible, praying to God, and interacting with His Church.

VerseD: 1 Peter 3:12

“For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”
1 Peter 3:12, ESV

We can have peace knowing that God hears our prayers, and they will be mixed with incense and God’s wrath against the evil doers at the end. (Revelation 5:8, 8:3-5)
