“And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.” Matthew 6:7-8, ESV
God does not need long prayers, but He does enjoy speaking with us. We can ask over and over, but He does know our hearts and requests as well as what we need. He wants our devotion and to give us what we need.
Do we truly love the Lord our God with all our hearts, souls, minds, and strengths? Maybe I can help with the mind part, at least! This is Daniel M. Klem, apparent poet, reluctant yet passionate Disciple (Peter?), and foolish man attempting to understand theology!
May we give Him our devotion!

The best advice is to keep our prayers simple and in common language, as if talking to a friend. No thees or thous are needed ever.
