VerseD: Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We deserve death for our rebellion against God, but Jesus took our penalty on the cross. Now we hope in eternity with our risen Lord.

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.

When the Maker of heaven and earth, the Judge of all Creation is on our side, we should have no reason fear.

And people will want the peace we have.

because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

The most foolish thing we can do is deny that Jesus lived, died, and rose again.

But if we truly believe this, we have an eternity of joy and peace with Him awaiting!

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!

We who have come to know the goodness of God show our joy and hope to a lost and hurting world that may turn to that goodness.

VerseD: Isaiah 12:2

“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.”

In Christ, we can move beyond fear and shame to hope and joy, for He has saved us from our sin and God’s wrath.

Does that not make you want to sing for joy?

The joy of the Lord is my strength.

For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.

God works all things for the good of those who love Him, but it is fully realized at the Second Coming of Christ.

And His track record proves His faithfulness to give us hope.

Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!

All good things come from God, and when this lost world is at it’s craziest we can find freedom, strength, and peace in Him alone.

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”

The Church (and therefore the people) may be the Temple of God (so we should love the Church), but it is the Lord Himself who is our hope and redemption.

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe.

We trust in the only name that can save us from our sins and shame, that will finally one day destroy evil and pain: Jesus.

For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

In Jesus’ name alone are we saved from our sin and offered eternal life.
