We are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus, and we serve by growing in godliness and the Word individually and as the Church, helping each other grow in love and Christ-likeness.

His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence

We like to think we can figure everything out for ourselves and make our own way, but God has called us to a life of goodness we can never attain on our own. He gives us the power to live this life through the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus and by the work of the Holy Spirit.

We like to do what we want.

God calls us to live for others, seeking His righteousness and loving others like Jesus, turning from our selfish ways to Spirit-led life.

We like to think we understand life and our world, but it is only in Christ that we find true knowledge and love truly good lives.

We have had a way of thinking that is contrary to God. We must turn to God and learn how to live and think in a godly,Christ-like way and ask for God’s forgiveness in Jesus Christ.

Our thoughts naturally focus on earthly and selfish things. The more we draw close to our Creator and Lord, the more our thoughts and words become godly and praiseworthy.

In a world that tells us to “just do what feels good,” God simply says to do what is good. And He helps us with the Holy Spirit.

Men have been given a bad rap in our society.
Be like the godliest Man of all, Jesus:
  • Defend the truth
  • Defend the defenseless
  • Worship God in it all
  • With all things love God and others

This is not a “know thyself” proverb. This is a “be careful what you think, feel, watch, and listen to” warning and encouragement.

Focus on good and godly things.
